Lenten Services    The Lenten service beginning at 7:00 pm each Wednesday evening will include a short time of worship followed by a Lenten Bible Study called “Bread in the Wilderness: Spiritual Famine or Gospel Feast" led by the following Elders: February 24: Karene Heupel March 3: Janet Ohrt March 10: Terri Bischoff March 17: Bob Steuck March 24: Greg Jones March 31: Holy Week Child care will be provided from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.   Lenten Soup Suppers Lenten Soup Suppers are Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 during Lent. We will have a chance to warm our bodies with soup before we warm our hearts with the Lenten services A huge thank you to the following who have volun-teered to provide soup: February 24: Karene Heupel March 3: Maureen Carlson March 10: Pat Jones March 17: Bev Jarvis March 24: Deb Hjermstad   Board of Elders February 8 Meeting The Scriptural Authority and Interpretation Conference, Lenten Bible Study “Bread in the Wilder-ness” and Spring Bible Study “Life’s Healing Choices” were finalized. Filling the music position currently open was discussed. Repairs to the parsonage’s floor and bathroom were approved, and suggestions given for upgrades to the church’s lighting and security. The usher and greeter responsibilities on Sunday mornings will be combined. Finally, ideas were given as to how to reduce the current deficit. CCC is 6 months behind in pension and insurance and 8 months behind in denominational quotas. If so, please join us for a scrap-booking and crafting day at Archiver’s in Maple Grove on Saturday, March 13th, 9:00 am through 5:00 pm, or whenever you can stop in! Contact Pastor Jenny or Cathy Holtmeier for details.   Healing Service—Mar 14 Mark your calendar for a Healing Service with Ma-ple Grove Lutheran Church at Christ’s Community Church on March 14th at 4:00 pm.   Simpson Shelter Update—Mar 14 Please come help us make sandwiches for Simpson Shelter! Our next scheduled date is Sunday, March 14th following the service. Thank you for your support!   Almost Adults Meeting—Mar 28 Our next Almost Adults meeting is scheduled for Sunday, March 28th at 12:00 pm. Please join us for pizza, brownies, and a Bible Study on “Money & Possessions.” Everyone is welcome!!
